PURPOSE:

To appropriate $500,000 to the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Fund to support the planning, design, engineering, and construction of capital improvements at the Lithonia Pool facility.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The purpose of this appropriation is to fund capital improvements that will enhance the functionality, accessibility, safety, and long-term sustainability of Lithonia Pool. The funding will allow DeKalb County to begin implementing infrastructure upgrades and position the facility for future enhancements, including improvements that could expand recreational programming and support the potential for year-round aquatic use.

This investment reflects the County's continued commitment to improving recreational amenities and increasing equitable access to high-quality public facilities for residents throughout South DeKalb County.
