PURPOSE:

To approve a resolution reappointing David Littlefield to the DeKalb County Pension Board of Directors.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The DeKalb County Board of Commissioners is dedicated to the integrity and successful management of the DeKalb County Pension Fund as a means to fulfill obligations to pensioners, active employees participating in the Pension Program, and to maintaining the Pension as an attractive tool for recruiting and retaining employee. and continuity of qualified, successful and experienced leadership on the Pension Board is instrumental to achieving these goals while minimizing the cost of the Pension System to DeKalb County Taxpayers.

 

The DeKalb County Pension Code provides for two seats on the Pension Board of Directors to be filled by action by the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners. David Littlefield currently holds one of these seats and serves with distinction. He is exceedingly well qualified in financial analysis and investment management, as demonstrated by the accomplishments summarized in the attached resume and is willing and able to continue service on the DeKalb County Pension Board of Directors.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact to DeKalb County

Recommended Action

To approve the resolution and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or his designee to execute all necessary documents.
