PURPOSE:
To approve the appropriation of $6,500 from District 1’s Reserve for Appropriations Account (00201. 579002.100.000) to iCare Atlanta for food distribution
NEED/IMPACT:
Funds are needed to assist iCare Atlanta’s DeKalb Initiative for Nutritional Equity (DINE) Program. DINE will provide nutritious food packages to vulnerable families, filling the gap created by reduced assistance and economic hardship. This initiative will ensure that hundreds of families across the county are able to enjoy nutritious, dignified meals.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funds will come from District 1’s Reserve for Appropriations Account (00201.579002.100.000)

Recommended Action
To approve the appropriation of $6,500.00 from District 1’s Reserve for Appropriations Fund to iCare Atlanta and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or his designee to execute all necessary documents in a form acceptable to the County Attorney, for the purpose of food distribution.
