PURPOSE:

*To consider approving the GY2023 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Program grant to receive project equipment; and
*To consider accepting project equipment purchased by UASI on behalf of the DeKalb County Police Department in an amount not to exceed $132,750.00; and
*To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The attached Memorandum of Understanding governs the use of equipment provided by UASI to assist the DeKalb County Police Department in preventing, protecting, responding to, and recovering from threats or acts of terrorism and to build capabilities that enhance homeland security for the Atlanta metropolitan area.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:
