PURPOSE:

To allocate an amount not to exceed $1,000 from the District 3 Reserved for appropriation fund to Survive & Thrive, LLC to support the screening of the documentary, "The Smell of Money".

 

NEED/IMPACT:

To educate and empower DeKalb residents on topics with the showing of this documentary and offer solutions on:

-                     environmental racism

                    

-                     animal rights                              

 

-                     property/land acquisition

 

-                     personal responsibility

 

-                     chronic health conditions caused by environmental toxins

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Increase appropriations for the following accounts by the amount indicated below:

Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Other Miscellaneous Payments (09130.573099.272.0000.0000) - $1,000

Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:

Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) - $1,000

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
