PURPOSE:
To record the appointment of Ben Bell to the DeKalb United Sports Commission as the District 2 Representative as a standing member with voting privileges
NEED/IMPACT:
As per Executive Order 2026-5, establishing the DeKalb United Sports Commission, this appointment is needed to ensure District 2 has representation and can participate in discussions that support planning, coordination, and community engagement related to major sporting events and initiatives. Having a representative allows the district to contribute to collaborative efforts among local governments, agencies, and community partners to promote economic development, tourism, and regional opportunities associated with sports and large-scale events.
