PURPOSE:

To authorize the acceptance of a donation of $6,500 to DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department from The Jim Ellis Automotive Group. Funds to be used at the discretion of the Fire Chief.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

Per county ordinance, donations in excess of $2,500 requires acceptance by the governing authority.  Funds will be use in accordance with the wishes of the grantor, unless prohibited by state law, county ordinance, or county operating procedures.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents for accepting the donation of $6,500 from the Jim Ellis Automotive Group for the DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department.
