PURPOSE:
On October 8, 2024, the BOC approved the Emergency Purchase ratification for an amount not to exceed $172,800.00 to allow commercial movers with a 26Ft. lift gate to transport election equipment and materials to polling sites for the 2024 Primary Election, Run-off Election and General Election cycles. On April 3, 2025, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 for an amount not to exceed $228,000.00 to ratify previously provided contract term increase, and to increase the contract funds and term through December 31, 2025. This contract consists of providing commercial moving services to transport voting equipment and materials to polling sites for the 2026 Gubernatorial/Midterm election cycle. The benefits of procuring the services allow the County to use professional labor and specialized equipment, enhances security protocols, and streamline logistics management thereby mitigating risk for the County.
