PURPOSE:
To consider the attached Resolution, Order, and Declaration of Taking for the acquisition of an easement on 3736 Seton Hall; Parcel ID: 15 037 01 148; Tract #18 (further described in the legal description and shown on the plat attached in Exhibit A) located within the boundaries required to complete the Shoal Creek Section I Project. The purpose of this Project is to meet Consent Decree requirements, improve the County's sewer infrastructure, and reduce sewer spills.

NEED/IMPACT:
The exercise of eminent domain for this property will enable the County to include the subject parcel in the Shoal Creek Section I Project. This project is essential to complete critical sewer system upgrades throughout the County and to ensure compliance with Environmental Protection Division (EPD) guidelines. The proposed improvements will support compliance with the Federal Clean Water Act and the Georgia Water Quality Control Act, while enhancing the overall reliability and performance of the County's sewer infrastructure.


FISCAL IMPACT:
The total cost to DeKalb County, Department of Watershed Management is $2,300.00 (Two Thousand Three Hundred Dollars and 00/100) to purchase the easement.
