This contract primarily consists of performing water valve and fire hydrant locates and assessments. This request seeks to ratify a previously provided contract term increase. PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC, on June 22, 2021, as a cooperative agreement in an amount not to exceed $5,249,250.00. On December 12, 2023, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to increase the contract term through June 30, 2025. On March 26, 2024, the BOC approved Change Order No. 2 to transfer the existing contract's remaining funds and contract term from Pure Technologies U.S., Inc. dba Wachs Water Services (a Xylem, Inc. brand) to Xylem Dewatering Solutions, Inc. dba Wachs Water Services. This contract consists of piggybacking off the competitively let City of East Point annual contract for the performance of water valve condition assessments and evaluations. These services include locating, accessing, and clean-out of the valve structures; the collection of over 30 valve attributes and capture of a sub-foot GPS locate; and the documentation of necessary work orders that will allow for valve operability.
