PURPOSE:
District 3 Allocation to appropriate American Rescue Plan Award funds assigned to POETA Account #106388.63230.602778.01.03.602778 reserved for District 3 (Amount Not to Exceed) $160,000 to Community Based Organizations to assist with Rent, Mortgage, Utilities, Food and any other essential needs caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic.
NEED/IMPACT:
The funds are being appropriated to help the many families within District 3 that have experienced adverse impact and require emergency assistance during the pandemic. The funding will be provided to Community Based Organizations (CBO) to help sustain the families during this difficult period with rent, mortgage, utilities, food based on the public health emergency, or its negative economic impacts and any other essential needs caused by the global pandemic.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding will come from District 3 ARP Award from POETA Account # 106388.63230.602778.01.03.602778 (amount not to exceed) $160,000 and appropriated to the following agencies:
? Community Boutique - $25,000
? Atlanta Masjid, Inc. - $35,000
? Bethel Original Freewill Baptist Church, INC. - $25,000
? City of Hope (Ray of Hope) - $25,000
? Saint Philip - $50,000
