PURPOSE:
Since the passage of the original item, DeKalb Volunteer Lawyers Foundation has changed its name to DeKalb Pro Bono impacting the allocation to the organization.
This rescinding will allow the board to vote on a new item reflecting the correct organization name.
NEED/IMPACT:
With the continuing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for legal assistance in landlord tenant evictions is prevalent. This agenda item will designate $100,000 of District 5 American Rescue Plan funding to aid DeKalb County citizens who need the assistance.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Rescind $100,000 to DeKalb Volunteer Lawyers
