PURPOSE:
To consider amending the Resolution (item 2019-4831), previously adopted by the Board of Commissioners on January 14, 2020, to correct a scrivener’s error on page 3 of the “Proposed Amendment to the DeKalb County Code of Ethics” attached to the Resolution.
NEED/IMPACT:
A scrivener’s error has been found in the “Proposed Amendment to the DeKalb County Code of Ethics” attached to the Resolution (item 2019-4831) adopted by the Board of Commissioners on January 14, 2020. Subsection (C)(2)(A)(ii) was inadvertently duplicated over subsection (C)(2)(B)(i). This amendment corrects this error and restores the correct wording for subsection (C)(2)(B)(i). No other amendments have been made to the Resolution and attached Proposed Amendment to the DeKalb County Ethics Code. Attached to this agenda item is the following:
• Attachment A: Substitute Item 2019-4831 Previously Adopted on January 14, 2020.
• Attachment B: Resolution and amended Attachment, redlined to show correction.
• Attachment C: Final Resolution and amended Attachment without redline.
