PURPOSE:
The purpose of this Agenda Item is to allocate an amount not to exceed $265,000 of the District 7 APR interest funds to Stellar Foresight for DeKalb County Youth Aviation & Aerospace Programming.

Youth aviation programming in DeKalb County is a vital investment in the county’s future, offering hands-on STEM education that prepares students for high-demand careers in aviation and aerospace. With the industry facing a nationwide shortage of pilots, mechanics, and engineers, early exposure through local initiatives can spark lifelong interest and build a skilled, diverse workforce. DeKalb’s proximity to major airports and existing resources like Peachtree-DeKalb Airport make it an ideal hub for such programming.
