PURPOSE:
Budget Amendment to increase the General Fund for Recreation Parks & Cultural Affairs - Porter Sanford Performing Arts & Community Center to Address Required Equipment Improvements. An Amount not to exceed $79,000.00.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center is 17 ½ years old, It is a known jewel in DeKalb County District 3 and is an important cultural asset for the community. It gives local artists, youth, schools, community organizations and performers a place to experience and participate in the arts. In order to ensure it remains relevant, safe, welcoming and technologically capable this investment will address the current issues:
• Digital Marquee - $20,000
• Flex Theater - $33,000
• Wireless DMX Transmitters - $10,000
• Power Lock Link Cable - $1,000
• Riser Legs - 1,000
• Genie Lift - $14,000
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by $79,000: Contributions - Transfer to CIP Fund - Designated Services Fund (09043.611350.271.000.0000)
Decrease appropriations for the following account by $79,000: Fund Reserves - Budgetary Reserve - Designated Services Fund (09610.579013.271.000.0000)
