PURPOSE:
The Clerk to Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Commissioners would like the minutes of the Commission to reflect the appointment of James Koch to the Resident Oversight Committee for SPLOST II Revenues and Expenditures Board made by Commissioner Ted Terry. The Super District 6 Citizen Oversight Committee for SPLOST I is vacant.
NEED/IMPACT:
The citizens of DeKalb have imposed upon themselves a special sales tax with the promise that funds will be spent as promised in the November 2023 referendum. This oversight committee will provide accountability and transparency to all DeKalb citizens. It builds public trust in DeKalb County which will be essential for future SPLOST referendums that must be approved by voters.
James Koch is a resident of Super District 6 and has been a valued member of our community. He brings a wealth of experience with technology and the components that transfer to interpersonal and communication skills, strong ethical values, team orientation, and leadership. Commissioner Terry is pleased that he has indicated his intent to serve in this capacity.

Direct the Clerk to record the appointment of James Koch to the Resident Oversight Committee for SPLOST II, appointed by District 6 Commissioner Ted Terry, with a term ending on December 31, 2028
