PURPOSE:
To consider authorizing the payment of $171,378.67 to Georgia Power for converting Columbia Drive at I-20 interchange lighting to LED; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary document pertaining to this project.
NEED/IMPACT
To improve the quality of lighting at the Columbia Drive at I-20 interchange, it is proposed that 118 lights at the interchange and in the I-20 median be converted to LED. The conversion will only change out the fixtures. Existing poles to remain. Expected energy savings is approximately $800.00 per month.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$171,378.67 in Beautification funds will be used to fund this work
RECOMMENDATION:

To authorize the payment of $171,378.67 to Georgia Power for converting Columbia Drive at I-20 interchange lighting to LED; and
To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents pertaining to this project.
