PURPOSE:
Consists of purchasing from Sourcewell Contract No. 091924-GAL for Body Armor with Related Accessories, Equipment and Services. This contract consists of the purchase of body armor, concealable or covert vests, tactical vests, armor plates, inserts carriers, panels and backers, bomb or blast-resistant suits; K-9 (and other service animal) protective gear and other related equipment. This request seeks to purchase Level III+ rifle plates and helmets for all uniformed officers for emergency use in active shooter situations. Body armor significantly reduces the risk of fatal or life-altering injuries and provides for a safer working environment.
