PURPOSE:

To consider an easement abandonment on 153 Hood Circle, Decatur, Georgia 30030.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The owner of the property located at 153 Hood Circle, Decatur, Georgia 30030 has requested the County to abandon any rights associated with a sewer main located on the property. 

 

Staff reviewed and determined that the 8” sewer line has been abandoned and this section of the county’s sewer infrastructure is no longer being utilized to carry wastewater.  The sewer main is no longer in use and has been rerouted to the County’s right of way.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact to the County.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Approve the attached Easement Abandonment Agreement for 153 Hood Circle, Decatur, Georgia 30030, Tax Parcel ID 15 213 04133 and to authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
