PURPOSE:
Pursuant to Section 13A of the DeKalb County Organizational Act, the Georgia Land Bank Act, O.C.G.A. § 48-4-100 et seq., and the Intergovernmental Contract between DeKalb County, Georgia and the City of Lithonia Creating the DeKalb Regional Land Bank Authority, CEO Cochran-Johnson nominates Elizabeth M. Roberts, Esq. to Post 1 of the DeKalb Regional Land Bank Authority for a term expiring on January 27, 2028. Post 1 is currently vacant.
NEED/IMPACT:
The purpose of the DeKalb Regional Land Bank Authority is to convert non-revenue generating, non-tax producing property to effective utilization status with the intention of providing housing, new industry and jobs, as well as to acquire title to certain tax delinquent properties and dispose of the properties in line with the Land Bank’s core mission.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to the County.
