PURPOSE:
Authorize the acceptance of Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contract for costs associated with Airfield Lighting Replacement at DeKalb Peachtree Airport and approve the execution of the attached resolution.
NEED/IMPACT:
Authorization is needed to accept a GDOT contract for costs associated with the replacement of airfield lighting at the Airport. The funding assistance provides for improvements to sustain continued safety on the Airport.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The GDOT contract for costs includes a total estimated cost of $2,491,590.00 of which $2,242,431.00 will be Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) funds and up to $118,579.20 will be state funds and $130,579.80 will be a local match. The cost to the County is $130,579.80.
