PURPOSE:
To pre-accept the 2018 contract between the State of Georgia’s Department of Human Services (DHS) and the District Attorney’s Office for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018; and
To authorize the CEO to execute all necessary documents.
NEED/IMPACT:
The need for this contract is to continue the establishment, enforcement, and modification of child support orders and the processing of child support petitions on behalf of the DeKalb County custodial parents, residents, and citizens. The program, one of the largest of its kind in Georgia, generates over $15.5 million in annual child support payments.
The total program funding amount is $1,925,700.00 comprised of federal funding in the amount of $1,270,962.00, state funding in the amount of $351,762.64 and a required County match of $302,975.36 to be transferred from 3910.573053.100.0000.0000.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The $302,975.36 required cash match was included in the District Attorney’s 2017 Operating Budget. No additional funds are being requested at this time.
