PURPOSE:
To allocate Youth Violence Prevention Funds to the DeKalb County PALS Plus Account in an amount not to exceed $25,000 - with the allocation as follows:
(1) PAL Survival Swim Program - $6,250
(2) PAL Female Empowerment Program - $6,250
(3) PAL Career Development Program - $6, 250
(4) PAL After Dark Summer Basketball League - $6,250
NEED/IMPACT:
The funding allocated is needed to curb violent crime among Youth in DeKalb inclusive of behavioral health and mental health services. The funds allocated will help DeKalb County PALS program engage youth in violence prevention strategies and other critical safety training and skills development programs.
