PURPOSE:

DeKalb Chamber of Commerce will execute the creation of a CID and or BID along the Memorial Drive Development Corridor from I285 to the city limits of Stone Mountain.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The revitalization of the Memorial Drive corridor, extending from I-285 to the City of Stone Mountain limits, is a key driver of economic development for DeKalb County and the stakeholders throughout the area.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

$100,000 in the DeKalb County General Funds and obligated through the 2025-0883 midyear budget amendment held in Planning and Sustainability account balance.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

To approve the resolution and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
