PURPOSE:
Consists of purchasing off OMNIA Partners Contract No. 4400008468 to obtain a specialized, multi-user hardline voice communication system designed for confined space, structural collapse and trench rescues, handheld gas detector that can accurately detect, identify and quantify thousands of unknown chemicals and vapors in seconds and a highly versatile, portable air distribution box designed specifically for fire, rescue, and confined-space operations that provides independently regulated air circuits to manage breathing air, tool operations, and rescue applications simultaneously. This request seeks to ratify a previously issued purchase order as the equipment was requested for the FIFA World Cup operations. These items were included in the grant application submitted by Public Safety and was awarded by the Atlanta World Host Committee. These items will be submitted for reimbursement through the Grant.

Recommended Action
Recommend approval of the ratification of the purchase order with:
Safeware, Inc., 4403 Forbes Blvd., Lanham, MD 20706
Amount Not To Exceed: $114,566.45
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the contract and all associated documents.
