RAT - Contract No. 1313602 Mailing Equipment, Supplies, and Maintenance (Statewide Contract No. 99999-SPD-T20271514-0001) (Multiyear): for use by the Department of Facilities Management (FM). This contract consists of the leasing of postage mailroom equipment. This request seeks to ratify the replacement contract executed under the new SWC for mailing equipment, supplies, and maintenance. PURPOSE:
This contract consists of piggybacking off the competitively let Statewide Contract No. 99999-SPD-T20271514-0001 for the leasing of postage equipment. The Countywide mailroom services utilizes these machines to provide mailing services for the various County departments. Equipment includes two (2) iX-9 Mailing Systems with SMART software, two (2) dynamic weighing platforms, two (2) remote label dispensers, two (2) conveyors and service and maintenance of the machines for the duration of the lease.
On December 20, 2022, Quadient informed the County that the State was moving forward with the renewal of the current SWC. However, on January 5, 2023, the County was advised that the State executed a new contract with Quadient rather than renewing the expiring contract. This request seeks to ratify the new lease agreement.

Recommend approval to ratify Contract No. 1313602 with:
Quadient, Inc., 478 Wheelers Farm Rd, Milford, CT 06461
Amount Not To Exceed: $115,091.40
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the contract and all associated documents.
