Consists of the purchase of one (1) new non-CDL garbage truck and four (4) non-CDL garbage trucks, currently at the end of their rental period. This purchase will assist with recycling routes. PURPOSE:
On June 14, 2022, the BOC approved the emergency rental of garbage trucks that can be driven by non-CDL drivers for an amount not to exceed $505,200.00. These trucks are at the end of the rental agreement and now the County has an opportunity to purchase the trucks. These trucks are needed due to the nationwide shortage of CDL drivers and will be used for weekly residential recycling collection routes.
