PURPOSE:

To Approve the Appropriation of $200,000 ($111,000 from District 1’s FY25 Reserve for Appropriations (00201. 579002.100.0000.0000) and $89,000 from District 1’s ARP Interest Fund (00201.582206.100.000) )to Frontline Response for a countywide homeless transportation program

NEED/IMPACT:

Transportation is vital for those impacted by homelessness to establish and maintain the connections to services requiring in-person visits for healthcare or to navigate the housing process which often requires moving between communities to access service providers. Frontline seeks to be impactful in reducing transportation-related barriers for those experiencing homelessness throughout DeKalb County through our Frontline Accessible Service Transit (FAST) Trac initiative which will travel on a daily fixed route to social service and healthcare agencies and will be accessible to those experiencing homelessness exclusively. FAST Trac would be a no-charge transit option for those seeking housing, healthcare, or other social services.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funding will come from District 1’s FY25 Reserve for Appropriations and District 1’s ARP Interest Fund

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

To approve the allocations from District 1 reserve and ARP Interest funds and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all the necessary documents
