PURPOSE:
Consists of providing the design, furnish, permit, construct, startup and successfully commission the UV disinfection process at SFAWTF. These services will provide UV disinfection for plant effluent and allow for the decommissioning of the existing chlorine disinfection and de-chlorination processes. The chemical costs of chlorine disinfection and dichlorination are usually greater than electrical power cost for UV disinfection. Retiring the hazardous gaseous chlorine will provide the County significant health and safety benefits.
