PURPOSE:
To approve the contract with ForceMetrics to purchase software license and related services for the Department of Police Services. The contract will be for one year and automatically renewed for two years.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Department of Police Services seeks approval to implement ForceMetrics software to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. ForceMetrics provides critical, real-time information to first responders and co-responders, empowering them to make more informed decisions in the field. This software integrates seamlessly with the department’s Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management Systems (RMS), ensuring officers have immediate access to pertinent information while on scene. By delivering faster access to critical data, ForceMetrics will enable officers to better serve the community and address pressing social challenges, including homelessness, domestic violence, gun violence and mental health crises.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of the software will be for an amount not to exceed $330,000, purchased with funding from the Public Safety and Community Violence Reduction Program (PSCVR) grant. The PSCVR grant, agenda item 2023-0982, was previously approved on August 22, 2023.

To consider approving the purchase of software license and related services from ForceMetrics. To approve the resolution and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
