PURPOSE:
To obtain the Board of Commissioners approval to rename Intrenchment Creek Park to Michelle Obama Park.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Department seeks BOC approval to rename Intrenchment Creek Park to Michelle Obama Park. Mrs. Obama, the First Lady of the United States from 2009-2016, is a compassionate and impactful advocate for children, recreation, and fitness. RPCA and the community would like to honor her by naming the park located at 2055 Bouldercrest Road to the Michelle Obama Park.

No fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the renaming of Intrenchment Creek Park to the Michelle Obama Park and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to completion.
