PURPOSE:
To allocate $41,000 from District 3 reserved funds for the completion of the Rainbow Park Amphitheater and $29,000 for District 3 concert series. Transfer from District 3 Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) to Grant Fund (09130.611250.272.0000.0000) for DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs amount not to exceed $70,000.
NEED/IMPACT:
The current project to construct an amphitheater located at Rainbow Park is underway. Due to delays in the shipment of the bandshell and unsuitable soil which needed to be removed, the contractor experienced delays which created a need for additional funding for completion. Change Order No. 1, agenda item 2021-2820, has been approved by the BOC to Contract 1233205 with Bayne Development Group, LLC, in which the work can be completed as designed.
The concert series will give individuals and families an opportunity to come and be a part of the arts community in an outdoor setting.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Transfer from District 3 Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) to Grant Fund (09130.611250.272.0000.0000) for DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs amount not to exceed $70,000.

To approve the allocations from District 3 reserved funds and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all the necessary documents.
