PURPOSE:
To Allocate an Amount Not to Exceed $10,000.00 to Atlanta Masjid, Sisters United In Human Services, Rites of Unthaa Program from the District 3 Reserved for Appropriation
NEED/IMPACT:
Sisters United In Human Service, Inc. (SUIHS) is a 501c3 non profit human service organization of Muslim Women. SUIHS reflects a rich diversity of experiences, accomplishments, talents and insights consistent with the diversity reflected in the universal way of life of their faith, Al-Islam. This funding will be used to further the education of growth and development for young girls. The program has empowered over two hundred and fifty girls to embrace Islamic morals, leadership, and sisterhood as they transition into adulthood. The program instills self-worth, purpose, and principled womanhood.

Increase appropriations for the following account by the amounts indicated below:

Recommended Action
To approve the allocation of $10,000.00 from the District 3 Reserve for Appropriation and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or her designee to execute all necessary documents.
