PURPOSE:
To approve the transfer of appropriations of $100,000.00 from District 1’s ARP Interest Fund Account (00201.582206.100.000) to DeKalb County Community Development to provide homeless support services for District 1.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Street Outreach Specialist will engage the unsheltered population and assist them in obtaining appropriate, safe housing options and community support through activities such as visiting homeless encampment sites and other places where unsheltered individuals are located to engage them and offer emergency housing, and supportive services as directed by the DeKalb County Community Development staff; enter data into the Coordinated Entry system to enroll the unsheltered into Coordinated Entry; Provide case management and follow-up services to individuals and households in hotels as directed by Community Development staff, and other activities
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding will come from District 1 American Rescue Plan (ARP) Interest Fund and will be appropriated to DeKalb County Community Development

To approve the appropriation of $100,000.00 from District 1’s ARP Interest Fund to DeKalb County Community Development and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or his designee to execute all necessary documents in a form acceptable to the County Attorney, for the purpose of providing homeless support services
