PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on March 26, 2019 for an amount not to exceed $2,234,000.00. This contract consists of full replacement of the fire detection and alarm system in all housing towers and support spaces to provide a totally new, integrated and fully functional system. This request is to extend the contract's term for eleven (11) months to allow time to complete the work which was delayed due to the pandemic and change occurrences of the Construction Coordination Meetings from weekly to monthly.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 1 to extend the contract term to November 30, 2022 with:
Smart Building Systems, Inc., 1456 McClendon Drive, Suite C, Decatur, GA 30033
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
