PURPOSE:
The purpose of this Agenda Item is to allocate an amount not to exceed $1,500 of the District 7 Reserve for appropriation, contributed towards art awareness programming hosted by Stonecrest Fest
NEED/IMPACT:
To celebrate DeKalb’s creative community, promote public engagement in the arts, and support local talent through memorable cultural programming. The Annual Chalk Art Walk and Stonecrest Fest provides a meaningful investment in DeKalb County by promoting local arts, culture, and economic development. These events showcase diverse artistic talent, foster inclusive community engagement, and offer enriching educational experiences-especially for youth and families. They encourage civic pride, support small businesses and creative professionals, and draw visitors to the county’s public spaces. This initiative enhances residents’ quality of life while reinforcing DeKalb’s reputation as a vibrant cultural hub.

To approve the allocation of an amount not to exceed $1,500 of the District 7 reserve for appropriation and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
