PURPOSE:

To Authorize the acceptance of GDOT Federal and State Funding Assistance Associated with the project to Rehabilitate Runway 3R-21L - Keel Replacement and to Reconstruct Taxiway A at DeKalb Peachtree Airport; and

To approve the execution of the attached resolution.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

Authorization is needed to accept a Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) allocation of federal and state funding assistance that consists of the project to Rehabilitate Runway 3R-21L - Keel Replacement and to Reconstruct Taxiway A on the Airport.  The federal and state funding assistance provides for improvements to sustain continued safety on the Airport.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The funding assistance includes total funding in an allocation of $12,616.947.00.  The federal airport improvement program (AIP) funding assistance includes an allocation of $8,585.711.00, federal bipartisan infrastructure law (BIL) funding in an allocation of $889,033.00 and state funding in an allocation of $2,092,020.00.  There is a matching cost to the County in the amount of $1,050,183.00.
