PURPOSE:
To provide funding from District 2 ARP POETA Account 105744.63258.521209.01.02.602479 in the amount of $33,000 to Stride Ahead, Inc in Little Creek Horse Farm.
NEED/IMPACT:
Stride Ahead, Inc’s mission is to serve at-risk young children, teens, and adults in DeKalb County through equine therapy, offering therapeutic riding, equine assisted psychotherapy, and equine assisted learning, in addition to stress relief programs for teachers, veterans, and first responders. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted their budget. They seek ARP funding to expand their mental health programing, pay additional instructors and recruit new clients.

Recommended Action
To approve the appropriation from District 2 ARP POETA Account 105744.63258.521209.01.02.602479 in the amount of $33,000 to Stride Ahead, Inc in Little Creek Horse Farm and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to support this appropriation.
