PURPOSE:
To appoint Troy Augustin to the Regional Emergency Services Council, District III - DeKalb Appointee, Position 4
NEED/IMPACT:
To appoint Troy Augustin to the Regional Emergency Services Council, District III - DeKalb Appointee, Position 4. Chief Augustin is currently the DeKalb County Fire Rescue Services EMS Division Chief. Chief Augustin will be filling the position that was vacated by Chief Kimberly Bullock-Unangst when she retired. Chief Augustin requires appointment for the term that began on July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026.
The purpose of this appointment is to ensure the interests of DeKalb County are represented with respect to emergency medical services. This council also coordinates, facilitates the improvement of, and maintains a quality emergency medical services system for eight counties that comprise EMS Region III: Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale. This appointment is critical in that Chief Fullum will have the opportunity to positively impact emergency medical services not only in DeKalb but across the entire region

To appoint Troy Augustin to the Regional Emergency Services Council, District III - DeKalb Appointee - Position 4, with a term of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026, and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or his designee to execute all necessary documents.
