PURPOSE:
Application of the Director of Planning & Sustainability for a public hearing to consider approving a resolution to accept the public process to develop the 2055 Unified Plan Update.
NEED/IMPACT:
The County is undertaking the State mandated 5-year update to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan portion of the 2050 Unified Plan, which shall be referred to as the 2055 Unified Plan Update. The Georgia Department of Community Affairs requires a public hearing for the first stage of public engagement and plan development. The purpose of this hearing is to brief the community on the plan development process, public engagement opportunities, priorities for the update, and obtain input on the proposed planning process.
