PURPOSE:
To allocate $15,000 of District 2 Reserve for Appropriation to EcoAddendum to fund training for District 2 parks volunteers.
NEED/IMPACT:
Allocating funds to EcoAddendum to support an Eco Steward training program in District 2 parks will help build a network of trained community members dedicated to protecting and improving local green spaces. Through this program, residents and volunteers will gain hands-on education in environmental stewardship, sustainable park maintenance, and conservation practices, enabling them to actively support park upkeep, biodiversity, and environmental resilience. Investing in EcoAddendum’s training ensures that District 2 parks benefit from knowledgeable stewards who can assist with education, volunteer coordination, and long-term sustainability efforts, ultimately strengthening community engagement while preserving the natural resources that make these parks valuable assets for residents.
FISCAL IMPACT:
An amount not to exceed $15,000 from the District 2 Reserve for Appropriation (00202.579002.100.0000.0000).
