PURPOSE:

Awarded by the BOC on November 19, 2013 for an amount not to exceed $658,423.32. On January 12, 2016, the BOC approved the Change Order No. 1 for an amount not to exceed $774,000.00. This request is needed for additional funding for preventative maintenance, general maintenance, repairs and capital improvement projects as well as to extend the contract’s expiration date. The additional time is needed to finish current projects and to allow time for the User Department to create a detailed and precise scope of work for the upcoming elevator maintenance services solicitation.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 to increase the contract amount and extend the contract expiration date through August 31, 2018 with:

 

ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corporation, 3005 Chastain Meadows Parkway, Suite 100, Marietta, GA 30066

 

Amount Not To Exceed: $2,500,000.00

 

and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
