PURPOSE:
To appropriate District 7 reserves in the amount of $10,000 to the Atlanta Community Food Bank in partnership with Soldiers’ Angels to provide two mobile food distributions for DeKalb Veterans.
NEED/IMPACT:
The $10,000 appropriation will be used to fund two mobile food distributions ($5,000 per food distribution) in partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank and Soldiers’ Angels to eliminate food insecurities for Veterans in DeKalb County. There is a need to combat food disparities and supplement household food for Veterans who have reduced access to food or loss of income impacting their ability to purchase food.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this project is an allocation of $10,000 from the District 7 Reserve for Appropriation.
