PURPOSE:
Allows Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) to conduct an in-depth assessment of DeKalb County's healthcare landscape, including demographics, payer mix, utilization trends, provider supply/demand, healthcare status, and the social determinants of health. This asset mapping will allow DeKalb to identify potential gaps across the healthcare delivery ecosystem, and, with the assistance of MSM, develop strategic approaches and recommendations to address these gaps.
NEED/IMPACT:
MSM's public health educational programs will partner with Ernst and Young. The Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) and Master of Public Health (MPH) programs will assign MSM faculty and doctoral student participants based on their expertise of holistic DeKalb market assessment, obstetrics deep dive, behavioral health deep dive, and data focus. EY will take the lead in project management and provide various activities under the key scope areas.

As the key component of an overall healthcare delivery strategy for DeKalb County, the assessment results will provide a detailed illustration of the County's current healthcare assets. These results will also inform both current and future planning and resource allocations.
