PURPOSE:
To consider adopting the attached Resolutions and to submit applications to the GDNR for consideration of funding from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and from the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Program (GOSP) for Improvement Projects at Exchange Park, Chapel Hill Park, and Davidson Arabia Nature Preserve and Pleasant Park Improvement Project and To Authorize the Chief Executive Officer and Department Designee to execute the necessary documents related to the applications.
NEED/IMPACT:
GDNR is designated aa the administrator for the LWCF and GOSP programs and has released a call for applications for federal funding. To be considered for project funding, a resolution of support is required from the Board of Commissioners. The Resolution also contains specific project(s) the County seeks to fund.
