PURPOSE:
To consider approving an addition to the police department vehicle fleet.
NEED/IMPACT:
The mobile precinct will provide officers with a mobile base of operations that can be deployed into crime hotspots and provide a high visibility police presence, thereby deterring criminal activity. The mobile precinct will be an invaluable tool for the department, as it will be integrated into our overall crime reduction and community outreach strategies.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of the mobile precinct is $286,116. It will be purchased utilizing approved American Rescue Plan funds.

To approve the addition to the fleet and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
