REN - Contract No. 1360830 Tree Cutting and Removal Services for RPCA (Annual Contract 2nd Renewal of 2 Options to Renew): for use by the Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Affairs (RPCA). This contract consists of providing tree cutting and removal services for County owned facilities. This request seeks to ratify a previously provided contract term increase. This request also seeks to exercise the 2nd renewal option through January 31, 2027. Awarded to Sesmas Tree Service LLC. Total Amount Not to Exceed: $250,000.00.

PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on November 8, 2023 for a total amount not to exceed $240,000.00 to four (4) vendors for tree cutting and removal services for County owned facilities. On September 10, 2024 the BOC approved change order no.1 for a total amount not to exceed $100,000.00 to increase contracts' funds for CPA Nos. 1359735 and 1360830. On January 28, 2025, the BOC approved Renewal No. 1 for an amount not to exceed $450,000.00. This request seeks to exercise the 2nd renewal option through January 31, 2027. Proper tree removal also protects County assets, reduces long-term maintenance costs, and ensures compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Professional tree cutting and removal services enhance public safety, reducing the risk of falling trees and limbs that can damage County infrastructure, vehicles, and utilities or cause injury to residents and employees.
