PURPOSE:

Approve the attached Intergovernmental Agreement between DeKalb County and the City of Brookhaven that allocates $400,000 from 2001 Parks Bond District 2 account 100592.80314.541100.05.1.600010 to the City of Brookhaven for the City’s acquisition and development as park greenspace 0.8 acres at 1174 Pine Grove Avenue NE, tax parcel id no. 18-200-08-022.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The funds will be used by the City of Brookhaven to acquire and develop the property at 1174 Pine Grove Avenue NE, 18-200-08-022 as park greenspace.  This 0.8 acre property will add to the greenspace acreage in the City of Brookhaven.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact to the 2019 operating budget.  The project will be funded from 2001 Parks Bond District 2 account in the total amount of $400,000.00.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Approve the attached Intergovernmental Agreement between DeKalb County and the City of Brookhaven that allocates $400,000.00 from 2001 Parks Bond District 2 account 100592.80314.541100.05.1.600010 to the City of Brookhaven for the acquisition and development as park greenspace of 0.8 acres at 1174 Pine Grove Avenue NE, tax parcel id no. 18-200-08-022; and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents in a form acceptable to the County Attorney or her designee.
