PURPOSE:
Application of the Director of Planning and Sustainability to amend text in the DeKalb County 2035 Comprehensive Plan, Chapter 7, to include the Memorial Drive Revitalization Plan as a Small Area Plan (SAP)". The Plan is located along the corridor of Memorial Drive, bounded by Interstate 285 to the west and E. Ponce de Leon Avenue to the east, and is further defined by the Boundary Map.

PLANNING STAFF: Adoption of the Plan and Resolution.
STAFF ANALYSIS: The DeKalb County entered into contracts with Pond, Inc. (the consultant) to implement the Memorial Drive Revitalization Plan contract scope of services for the Memorial Drive corridor. The Memorial Drive Revitalization Plan is located on Memorial Drive, State Highway 78, bounded by Ridge Avenue to the east and Interstate 285 to the west. The Memorial Drive corridor is recognized as a major connection between the City of Atlanta and Stone Mountain Park, and is home to many international businesses, Georgia State University, Georgia Piedmont College, major retail chains, as well as Kensington MARTA Station.
