PURPOSE:
Consists of the design, permitting, construction and commissioning of the new SCWTP, to include demolition of existing filter plant, design and construction of a new high service pump station and the addition of two new 10 million gallons of Clearwell water storage with space for an additional 20 million gallons in the future. The existing filter plant has been in operation since 2005 and suffers single points of failure often. The new plant will allow Clearwell volume and high service pumping; increasing the system resilience and redundancy. The project will add 20 million gallons of new finished water storage capacity while leaving space for an additional 20 million gallons of Clearwell storage for the future, Phase II. Approval of this project is critical to meet the demands of required finished water storage and pumping capacity needed to sustain the County and eliminate the frequent failures at the plant. Two (2) proposals were received.
